Dan Garland
Secondary Bible Teacher
I grew up in a pastor’s home in Redding, California where we enjoyed lots of outdoor activities and sports. There, I attended Shasta Bible College and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biblical and Pastoral Studies in 1999. I continued my training at Western Seminary, where I graduated with a Master’s degree in Exegetical Theology. In 2007 I married my wife, Holly. We moved to Grants Pass in 2008, where I pastored Hugo Community Church for 17 years. God gave us three great boys to raise – and that’s where our connection to New Hope began. As they started attending New Hope, I was asked to substitute for Bible starting in the 2022-2023 school year, and in 2025 I answered the call to serve New Hope full-time as the secondary Bible teacher. I love the kids and the mission very much as we prepare the next generation of Ambassadors for Christ.
