A Word From Mr. Stone
Warning: Your child has a worldview!
George Barna, a well-known and reputable pollster regarding issues related to our Christian faith, has commented, “…research indicates that everyone has a worldview, but relatively few people have a Biblical worldview – even among devoutly religious people.” He further commented on how our worldview heavily influences our behavior. “(People) with a Biblical worldview possessed radically different views on morality…and demonstrated vastly different lifestyle choices.”
Make no mistake about it, your children’s worldview will shape how they think, how they behave, and what lifestyle choices they make. Your choice of a distinctively Christian school education is a great enhancement toward the nurture and development of your children having a Biblical worldview.
But, as always, New Hope’s mission is simply to come alongside families to help “raise up their children in the ways of the Lord”. At school, the Bible is preeminent. So the question we parents must ask ourselves is, “What role does God’s Word have in our home?” “Do our children see us embracing Scripture as an authoritative and meaningful part of our lives?”
