Favorite Scripture: Isaiah 61:1-4 1 The Spirit of the Lord is upon me; because the Lord hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the broken hearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound; 2 To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all that morn; 3 to appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting if the Lord, that he might be glorified. 4 And they shall build the old wastes, they shall raise up the former desolations, and they shall repair the waste cities, the desolation of many generations.
Hobbies: Hanging out with my family & friends, reading, watching cultural movies, and vacationing to anywhere, if only for the day.
Family: Married to Tony for 23 years; two children, Aspen 21 and Noah 18
What brought you to New Hope: My family and I were asked to be a host family for a student from S. Korea in 2009, we loved it, and hosted for the next 7 years. I then started volunteering with Diana Hale, the IS Director at that time. She loved the help, and I had the time to give. It was decided that she wished to retire, and I had been working with her for several years, I was approached by the administration if I would be interested in the position. It had become a passion the Lord had put in my heart, and I love working with the international students, so I have now been the International Student Director since 2016, and loving it!
How does your faith impact your work with the students of New Hope: I love working at NHCS, as I get to be a witness not only to the international students, but to all of the students who attend here. I get to encourage them to be missionaries right here in the very school they attend. It is incredible to be a part of a bigger picture, evangelizing to the world every day in our own community. God is Amazing!!! Please Contact me if you are interested in being a part of our International Program.
