Emergency Data & Parent Volunteer Forms  If you haven’t done so, you need to turn in the emergency forms to the school office immediately. This information is very important for the office to have, and students may not attend field trips if this isn’t on file.

Also, if you haven’t returned your volunteer form, please do so. The Auction was not added to the list, so include this if you can assist with this activity.

Lunch Assistance Needed  Help is still needed for this beneficial program, especially on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Please contact Gretchen York (home phone, 474-7341, or school, 476-4588) if you can assist for one or more lunch hours.

Classroom Parent Assistants  We have great help in a number of classes. NEEDED: Parent or grandparent help in 5th and 6th grades.

Moms In Touch  This vital mothers’ prayer time is scheduled for each Wednesday, 8:00 – 9:00 a.m., meeting in room 6.

Half-day on October 3rd  On Wednesday, October 3rd, we will have a half-day of school due to the teachers leaving to attend the ACSI Convention in Portland. School will be dismissed at 11:50 for the elementary grades and 12:05 for the secondary. (Also, no school 10/4 and 10/5.)

Coach Needed  We need a boys’ junior high basketball coach. Practice will start on Monday, October 22nd. Please call Howard Main, 441-1806, if interested or for more information.

Student Workdays Coming Up on October 3rd-6th   Thank you to every student and parent who has shown support for our Warrior Nation Renovation Fundraiser. We have had multiple elementary students bring in their entire piggy bank to donate its contents to the project. Work plans have been submitted with such creative and sacrificial ideas like having a yard sale selling their toys, a lemonade stand, a class carwash, a bottle/can drive, working at home with mom/dad, and writing letters to earn money for THEIR gym. Students, you still have time to submit your plan for raising your $100 for the gym renovation. Parents, we are still needing your projects for the students who are willing to work to benefit their school. If you are looking for or have work, please call Patti Hillier at 862-2179 or email her at mrsh84@hotmail.com. The plan is only the beginning. Next week, Warriors, let’s be ready to work for our school!

Academic Challenge  This year we will be  participating in Academic Challenge on KOBI TV. This is a round-robin tournament with at least 3 games promised. The first game will air some time in October.

The NH team members are Bethany Matthews, Amber Willingham, John Bayley, Jacob Bowdoin, and alternate Ryan Garcia.

Lower Parking Lot  In the lower parking lot we have two pick-up lanes.  Parents need to drive cautiously, and pick up children as far toward the exit end as possible.  This avoids a back-up of cars behind.

REMEMBER that younger students are not to proceed across the main parking lot without an adult. After 3:20 p.m., children 5th grade and under will be waiting in the office.

G.E.M.S. Group  Growing & Encouraging Mothers is a group for moms with newborn through kindergarten age children. This program is offered at Calvary Crossroads Church. For more info, stop by the school office and get a flyer off the office counter, or call the church directly at 479-4334.

AWANA Clubs  Awana is a fantastic ministry for children. Calvary Crossroads Church has this

club for 4 year olds through 5th grade. New Hope Bible Church offers it to junior high and high schoolers. For more information, please call the churches.
