National Day of Prayer Breakfast

This morning, the National Day of Prayer breakfasts took place all across our nation. The breakfast held at our Josephine County Fairgrounds was FANTASTIC. The special speaker was David Barton.  He so graphically pointed out the totally strong Biblical base of our founding fathers, and our politicians of that day being focused so strongly in determining what God’s plan was for governing.

A good number of our New Hope high school students were in attendance. It was great for them to be challenged to be like our nation’s founders in prayer and in study of God’s Word. It is amazing how an early education system and governing political body so focused on learning from God’s Word could be so opposite today.

During this National Day of Prayer, pray for our schools, both public and Christian. Pray for our nation’s leaders. Pray that we might somehow get back to that original dependence upon the God of Creation. What other nation has had such opportunity as our nation with an original Biblical founding base?
