Using the Hidden Valley Rd. Entry and Exit – When dropping off or picking up in the lane next to the sidewalk, drive as far forward as possible. Do not stop at the steps. When picking up, if a child is delayed in coming down, pull out and come around again.
Volunteering - Let us know the days and hours you are available. This should help us make better use of your volunteer time. Immediate needs:
School Directory – The Parent Directory will be distributed soon. If you do not want your family information included in it, e-mail sharong@nhcs.us immediately, or phone the office. Sorry, we lost record of one parent who had requested information to be left out, so we are starting over again.

Macaroon Each Wednesday, orders will be taken for Thursday hot lunches at $3.00 each. The above listed foods will also be sold on Thursdays. Thursday, September 14th, lunch will be baked potato with toppings, vegetable, drink, cookies Free lunch, this Friday, September 8th, provided by the Student Government.
(Parents who may want to volunteer to help in our lunch program, please meet in the school kitchen at 8:05 a.m. this coming Monday morning.)
Return School Emergency Forms To the Office. Please pick up another one if you misplaced yours.
Shoe Safety for Elementary Students. Please take note that closed toed shoes and closed toed sandals with heel straps are required. Refer to handbook, page 6, if necessary. This we deem necessary for playground safety reasons.
Part-time Volunteer or Paid Position. Make application for Wednesday playground duty/custodial work, and for after school cleaning needing to be done two or three times/week.
Discovering the Universe. A year-long astronomy night class for ½ high school credit is offered to high school students from NHCS and from other schools. The class begins, Monday, September 11th, 7:45-9:45 p.m.. Some adults will be welcomed as class auditors. Click here for more info

Reminder: School starts at 8:00 a.m. this year.
Moms-in-Touch meets Thursdays, at 8:00 a.m., beginning Septemeber 21st, in room 6. This is an important prayer group that meets for about one hour each week, praying specifically for our students and staff. Parent, Jan Culton, is in charge. Please schedule this time for prayer. |
