Ernie Stone named Interim Administrator for New Hope Christian Schools

Grants Pass, OR- The New Hope Christian Schools board of directors voted to name Ernie Stone as Interim Administrator in a recent unanimous vote. Mr. Stone succeeds Terell Bowdoin, who served New Hope for 32 years as a teacher and administrator. Stone came to New hope Christian Schools in 2002 as a teacher and secondary vice-principal. He has a BA, MA, teaching credentials and has been an educator for over 20 years.

Founded in 1961, New Hope Christian was the product of a joint effort among local churches and World Missions to Children. The school has been celebrating its 50 years of service to the community all year, offering classes from Junior Kindergarten (age 4) through grade 12. The school also offers an active sports program.

Concerning the upcoming school year, Ernie states, “I am genuinely excited! We have a fully qualified staff, wonderful parents, and the greatest students a principal could ask for. Our vision has always been equipping young people for a life that pleases Jesus with a quality Christian based education. We will stick to our core values”.

The theme at New Hope this year is “What’s NEW at New Hope”. The school’s new website will facilitate easier communications with the school and community. The school will offer a modified block schedule and several new electives that will cater to students and home schoolers. “We’ll also offer a tutoring/learning center to assist students on every level…and these are just the starters”, Stone stated.
