High School Movie Night:

Tonight is High School Movie Night here at New Hope from 3:30-8:30. There will be games @ 3:30, dinner (burger, chips, and drink for $3) @ 5:00, and the movie Breaking the Press @ 6:00. Movie is free; money is only needed if purchasing dinner and/or concessions.

The holidays are coming! Start your Christmas shopping today by purchasing gift cards for presents, stocking stuffers, or to use for your Christmas shopping. Spread it out over the next 6 or 7 weeks…don’t wait until the last minute!

Also, check out the Thank-scrip-ing Day flyer for details about a special that has coming up in 3 weeks!

There are two methods of paying for your scrip orders:

  • By check made out to NHCS PTF ~ Place your order at and turn in your check to the school office by Friday. The school will receive your order by Thursday of the next week.
  • By using Presto Pay ~ Place your order at by Monday, pay through Presto Pay, and the school will receive your order by Thursday of that week. If you haven’t already signed up for Presto Pay, the process takes a few days because they have to verify your checking account by placing 2 small deposits into your account. Once deposited, you fill in the 2 amounts, and they send you a code that you email to PTF President Norm Kester (call the office if you need his email address). He has to “approve” you, and then you’re good to go!!! Sign up today, and you may receive approval in time to order on Monday.

Parent-Teacher Conferences:

Please return your Parent-Teacher Conference request forms to the school office. Conferences will be held on Friday, November 9th, 11am-6pm. Nov 2012 Conferences

Warrior Run-A-Thon:

The rain did not dampen our Warrior Run-A-Thon yesterday! The elementary students split into two groups and moved indoors to run around the basketball court in the gym! Thank you to all the parents who helped count laps, pass out snacks and water, or encourage the students to keep on running!

All pledge sheets and money are due by November 8th.

Parent Teacher Fellowship November Meetings:

To reach out to more families, PTF is offering 2 meeting times on Monday, November 5th. They are 3:30-5:00 or 6:30-8:00. If you can’t make it to the usual evening time, try the after school meeting! They would love to see you at either one!!!

Giving Hope Food Drive:

Giving Hope Food Drive is a student government sponsored event to collect food and supplies for Joe’s Place, a local ministry to homeless teenagers. Our goal is to provide Joe’s Place with 1,000 meals. We can only reach the goal if the New Hope students bring in food and supplies for this. We also ask each student to bring a dollar to go towards helping Joe’s Place buy any needed fresh produce and proteins. Giving Hope Food Drive Flyer

Lunch Announcements:

Click here for the November lunch calendar. Please provide either a lunch or money to purchase lunch for your student(s). Money can be placed on a lunch account through the school office. The office does not have money to loan students who forget or come unprepared. Thank you!

Only about 50 out of our 140+ families have returned their family work partnership/volunteer forms. If you have not returned yours, PLEASE go to the NHCS website to print it or pick one up in the school office to complete and return. In order to help each family reach their work hours before the end of the school year, we need your completed form.

Parents of SENIORS and Other Interested High School Parents:
