An Undefeated Season
The Girls Middle School Volleyball teams had another amazing season. The JV finished UNDEFEATED for the second season in a row and the Varsity team ended up with an impressive 8-2 record. We had an amazing turn out of girls wanting to play this year, maxing out at 24 between the two teams! Most notable about the girls this season was their refusal to give up. When behind in points or games, instead of getting down on themselves and giving up, they tried harder and became even more focused; turning what looked like an obvious loss into a victorious win. It was a joy to see the marked improvement of the girls from the beginning of the season to the end as well as share in the joy that comes from sports, teamwork, and accomplishment. We thank the Lord for the girls desire to play and do their best as well as the sound bodies he has blessed us with to enjoy this sport he created.

Middle School Girls Volleyball faced off against Grace Christian last night. Varsity won in 3 games full of great volleys and exceptional serving by Mikaeli Dirling, Kirsty Kleynhans, Carly Francis, and Haley Clasby. JV also won in 3 well matched games full of exciting volleys. There was great passing and serving by Bridget Park as well as great serving by Sahain Del Palacio and Haley Notter. This was JV’s final game with their win keeping them UNDEFEATED for the 2010 season (two years in a row)!!

On Thursday, October 7th, the Middle School Varsity Volleyball girls came in on their day off to face hard-serving Harvest Baptist. All the girls played hard, winning the match in 2 out of 3 games. There was standout serving from Mikaeli Dirling, Bryanna Moore, Alyssa Goddard, and Alyssa Main, consistent key passing by Alyssa Goddard and Alondra Chavez, and standout hitting by Alyssa Main. The girls will play Grace Christian (away) this Thursday, October 14th.

Middle School volleyball girls played against Ruch Wednesday, September 22nd. The Varsity won in 3 games with solid play and good serves, and great teamwork by all. JV won handily in 3 games with standout play by Josie Joling and super serving by Natasha Larkin and Heather Horban!

The Middle School volleyball girls faced off against Shady Cove Monday night. The JV played great, winning all their games handily. JV had stand out play by Raevin Rossi. Varsity fought valiantly against a hard serving team, but ultimately came up short, losing their games despite amazing play by Alondra Chavez. All the girls played well with individual accomplishments, making the games great, such as successful serves for Abby Aguilar and Sydney Laird. Good job, Lady Warriors!
