Accreditation

EStone 13-14Dear Family and Friends of New Hope,

New Hope is in its second year of full accreditation with NWAC/AdvancED, which was initially effective June 2012, giving us access to colleges, scholarships, and other resources that we previously did not have.  Some of my staff and I also have the privilege of serving on accreditation teams for other schools in Oregon.  Being a part of these accreditation teams is giving us greater insight into the expectations being placed on accredited schools.   We are continuing our commitment to our School Improvement Plan with a particular focus upon evaluating and improving our curriculum, instruction, assessment, and professional staff development.  We are also implementing a greater integration of technology in our classroom instruction.

In the 2014-15 school year, every teacher will be equipped with an iPad Gen 3 that will serve as a smart board and document camera.  The majority of our teaching staff will have either an Oregon Teaching License or an ACSI (Association of Christian Schools International) Certification or both…and each year, that number increases.

I want to thank all of you who continue to make New Hope the great school that it is.  We build on the foundation of those who have gone before us, while setting a broader foundation for those who will come after us.

Ultimately…our accreditation is the result of the Lord’s faithfulness to His school. “Unless the Lord builds the house, the builders labor in vain.  Unless the Lord watches over the city, the guards stand watch in vain.” (Psalm 127:1)

New Hope Christian School exists for the glory of God.  May we continue to honor Him as long as His school exists.
