Ways To Support New Hope

Volunteer

Volunteers enable New Hope to keep tuition costs down for our families and provide many enhanced programs due to their support.  Driving for field trips and sporting events, helping with sports concessions, assisting drama club and sports teams, lunchtime help in the cafeteria, and fundraisers (i.e. Dinner Auction, Harvest Festival, Fair Booth, Box Tops for Education Program, etc.) are just some of the volunteer needs.  These are fun ways to participate in your children’s lives while getting to know other school families.

Donations

Financial gifts go a long way in furthering the programs and facilities offered to our students.  The NHCS Scholarship Fund allows students to attend New Hope who may not have been able to without the support of generous people like you.  Donations can be made by check or by using our online payment option.

Material Gifts

New Hope has been greatly blessed with many material gifts from local businesses and families. These gifts have come in the form of construction materials, auction donations, classroom furniture, office equipment, sports equipment, landscaping supplies, technology upgrades, and school supplies.  Contact the office if you would like to help in donating any material gifts.

Occasionally, teachers and staff have unique and specific needs related to their classes or the topics being offered. The PHIL46  list is presented to make you aware of those needs and, if you feel so inclined, to help meet these specific needs.

Scrip for Scholarships

EScrip

  is an easy way to support New Hope. When making your purchases from the eScrip online mall,  a percentage will be paid to the school. Also, by registering your grocery cards (Safeway), credit cards, and ATM/Debit cards with eScrip, each time you use your card with a participating merchant, a percentage of your purchases will be contributed towards the NHCS Scholarship Fund.

 

Xchange is here ~ just in time for Christmas Shopping! Xchange is gift cards/gift certificates for stores and restaurants that we already frequent. Plan ahead and buy Xchange cards for the places which you know you will be shopping and eating. Then when you go there, use the Xchange as the method of payment. The money you spend for buying Xchange is what you would have spent at the store or restaurant anyways, but the school benefits from our purchasing Xchange!!!

Xchange gift cards are on sale now to kick off our “Scrip for Scholarships” program!   Currently, we have gift cards for Starbucks ($10), Olive Garden / Red Lobster ($25), iTunes ($15), Applebees ($25), Fred Meyer / Food 4 Less ($25), Subway ($10), Safeway ($50), Burger King ($10), Kentucky Fried Chicken ($5), and Jack in the Box ($10).  More scrip is coming, such as Walmart and JC Penney!  For more information visit the Xchange page.

Box Tops and Labels for Education

Cut out and save your Campbell’s Soup Labels and Box Tops Coupons! All classes are collecting Labels and Box Tops for our annual fundraiser. The class that collects the most will win a party at the end of the school year! Each year, the Box Tops and Labels for Education programs have supplied us with playground and sports equipment, classroom supplies, and cash used to improve our school programs.

Ink and Toner Cartridges

Turn in your used ink and toner cartridges at Staples and ask them to credit the New Hope Christian School account or bring them to the school office.  New Hope will receive $2 for each recycled cartridge.  All credits received for this program will be used toward office and classroom supplies.

In 2010, Staples recycled more than 22 million cartridges in the United States through our various ink and toner cartridge recycling programs. Retail customers can recycle any ink or toner cartridge, up to 10 per calendar month per customer, and receive $2 back in Staples Rewards per cartridge.
