Last year, I had the privilege of attending a Guilder-Lehrman week-long history seminar at Columbia University in NYC.  The topic was “America’s Moral Crisis – the 1850′s.”  The seminar featured history and literature of the pre-Civil War era, particularly Herman Melville.

I have two grown children who are NH grads married to NH grads, and five grandchildren.   My husband Ken and I have lived in Grants Pass for 21 years after moving from Maui, Hawaii.   I have taught at NH for 18 years. I love teaching high school here.  The students are the best and I love being able to build into their lives.

I teach HS English grades 10 – 12, Health/Life Skills, JH and HS Art, and I serve as the college counselor.  I also coach the high school Brain Bowl and Academic Challenge teams.
