Mr. Sheldon Shaw

Born and raised near Portland, Oregon.

Graduated from Hillsboro High School.

Worked fighting fires for Oregon State Forest Service one Summer. Began to train for employment in State Forest Service. Took a year of business courses at Oregon State. Began studies in pre-architecture at Oregon State. Transferred to U of O for year of architecture studies. Received Bachelor of Arts and Master’s degrees in Art Education at U of O.

Taught Art Education and math in Grants Pass public school for 26 years. Coached track for 10 years. Retired after 30 years in district.

I have worked with my wife in Christian education for the last 17 years., 11 of them at New Hope.

I enjoy wood working, especially building bird houses, and gardening.

I take care of the seven well water system that provides water for New Hope Christian School.
